Call times generally work like this each month…

Week 1: Wednesday 11am ET

Week 2: Wednesday 8pm ET and our Europe/Asia call on Thursday 10am GMT

Week 3: Wednesday 11am ET

Week 4: Rest (this is the "Soothe" component of my concept of "Stretch and Soothe")

We’ve made it to honor most time-zones and so that most members can hopefully attend 2 calls per month.

If those call times don't work, I know that's disappointing.  And what I want you to know is you’ll still have wrap-around support if you can't make the calls. There is personalized support built into the program, so you’ll not only have videos to watch at a convenient time for you, but you’ll also have 1:1 support with your Cove leader. You’ll be connected to the Cove community in our private Facebook group, so you’ll be able to reach out to other parents for that hug and high-five, and you’ll be able to ask me questions in Facebook. We've developed the program considering that you are both a committed and busy parent.  The Cove is uniquely designed so that you choose the components that work for you.  Your aim is to engage with The Cove in some form once per week - whether that be through attending a live Q&A, watching a video, hopping into Facebook, or meeting your Cove Leader.  Our aim is that you feel uncoditional wrap-around support regardless of the busy work schedule, unexpected kids home sick from school, etc, and that hopping in once per week in whatever form feels like a treat for you.

Here's an honest truth...you won't do ALL THE THINGS.  That'd be overwhelming. 

The work we do is activation - it's energetic - it's not about putting "the time" in...it's about finding what activates you and putting your energy there.

Your Cove Leader and you will meet and discuss your needs and create a unique path just for you.

All the bonuses are there so that we can craft a path for you that taps into this bank of resources.  And, we'll go one step at a time, at a pace that is both secure, stable, doable, and energizing for you.

This really depends on you, your child and where your relationship is right now.

Having said that, parents who come committed and ready to try something radically different, experience big shifts by month 1 and 2.

From my experience, what I’ve seen is that while a child may age-out of hitting, biting, kicking, screaming behavior, without meeting core needs, the energy of aggression within them is still unresolved. So, as a teen they may tease their sibling, pressure friends into doing something they don’t want (or feel pressured into something), sneak tech time, or interrupt and not let others share their perspective. Oh, and the screaming just turns into yelling. That’s not what we want, is it? When we look to uncover core, underlying needs (ours and theirs), we find ways to meet them us and where they are. That’s why what you’ll learn is not a tactic or a tool – it is a process to bring your awareness to underlying needs, yours and theirs, so that we have the skills to resolve the NOW struggles with our highly-sensitive, strong-willed kids, and so we also have the confidence to resolve the TOMORROW struggles. They aren’t going to age out of the high-sensitivity or strong-will…that’s part of them, so let’s create stability, clarity, security, and JOY by meeting both their needs and yours, so that you feel confident as a parent no matter what challenges arise.

Most of the parents inside The Cove are here because their child expresses with aggresssion and it feels so very painful to us as sensitive, aware parents. I see aggression as communication from our child about an unmet need. It often times is anxiety (feeling disconnected from their sense of safety). The anxiety may arise because they are a sensory-sensitive kid. So, the kid hitting his little brother may be because the brother's squealing was too loud for his ears, or he needed space to decompress after school. Or he may have hit his brother because he was upset about us saying "no" to candy before dinner and he didn't know how to sit with that disappointment. Or maybe his heart was hurt at school by a friend teasing him (again, he didn't feel safe with the hurt, and he may not know how to assert his need to be treasted kindly with his friend). These are all different reasons and we'd bring our awareness to what's going on for him. When we understand that need, we can support our child in feeling capable and confident in communicating his needs. So, if it's too loud for that child, support him in learning it's ok to share that and express the importance of his need. Often highly-sensitive, strong-willed children need support in understanding their needs, and learning it is ok for them to have boundaries. They think that their boundaries need to be harsh (hence you see aggression) and we will support them in experiencing that their needd are heard without harshness. And, this is what allows them to tap into a deeper sense of empathy. I see connection as an equation, connection = empathy + boundaries, for our kids and for us. Many parents inside The Cove are here because they've tried 1:1 time, holding space for big emotions, etc, and while it got them part of the way, because they weren't addressing the underlying need, it didn't get them all the way where they wanted to be. In fact, that's exactly how I came to develop the systems I share - because I sat in the same place several years ago. They're not tactics; they are processes to meet ourselves and our child where we are, open our awarness to underlying needs, and create stability and security by meeting both our needs so that we can enjoy our relationship with our child.

You see parenting courses in your inbox all the time that promise to transform your parenting in 8 weeks. It sounds great. You buy it. And you do see shifts in that time. BUT, here’s a hard truth for those of us with highly sensitive, strong-willed kids: not so long after the program ends, so does the transformation. From my experience doing this work, I know that you want BOTH rapid relief AND long-term solutions.

The parents in The Cove get both – they experience significant shifts in the first month to two months that bring much needed relief and joy. This brings the confidence to keep going because the true transformation occurs by internalizing the ways of being that come through using the SHUAVE process, Boundary Circles, and other core mind-to-heart concepts I share.

And, here’s a radical truth – fewer parents will join because it’s a year commitment. What that means is if you’re one that does, you get more intimate support. Now that’s how it benefits you.

We structure it to support with that. And that part of you asking “can I do this?” isn’t questioning your ability, it’s asking will this system be able to support my needs.

A long-standing Cove member asked the exact same question on a Q&A call last week when we were getting excited about starting Breakthrough Parenting this week. She’s excited and nervous about not keeping up with videos or making it to all the calls. Here’s what I told her. That’s a valid concern because we’re parents. We’ll have a kid get sick. Or we are sick. Or end of semester chaos kicks in at school. Or work. These things WILL happen, guaranteed, in a year. In fact, we want them to happen inside The Cove because then this becomes the space to practice that it’s ok for us to not do things perfectly. That you are accepted, loved, important and you matter exactly as you are. When we can genuinely experience it’s ok to not be perfect here in The Cove, we will be able to bring that to our kids. So, when you can’t watch a video, make a call, and you feel behind or overwhelmed, share it with your Cove Leader or me. We’ll do exactly what we’ll be practicing together for your parenting and peel back together what underlying needs you have. Often, if we work together to find a way to meet that need, your experience inside The Cove actually strengthens!

For that Cove member, we learned that sending her a shout out on the call will make it fun for her to watch the recording. I’ve asked other Cove members similar questions, and for some it’s a “We missed seeing you on the call last week. How are things?” email. She's fully engaged now!! This is why we have a year-long container, for these things to happen. So, the container will actually support you in reconnecting to stepping back in. So, let it come up as it does, my friend - we’ve got you!

And while I may not always be able to do something like this, what I’ve found, and what you’ll learn, is that by acknowledging the request, and expressing our care about that need, this is what ACTUALLY meets the needs. You’ll learn how to do this when your child asks for that expensive new phone, or for candy before dinner, or for more 1:1 time with you than you can give…and it’s liberating!

And this is how we internalize the concepts of SHUAVE and boundary circles and both/and with needs, by experiencing it. Not studying it. Experiencing it.

What I find is that because our needs are genuinely met inside The Cove, members are beyond happy with the investment (it’s a great deal for what you’ll experience). What I also find is that if you’re feeling dissatisfied inside The Cove, that’s the time I’d love for you to share with me and hop on a quick chat with me and let’s understand together what needs aren’t being met. Members are able to ask Sonali and Cove Leaders questions on Facebook and support each other.  However, we have several members that choose not to be on Facebook for a variety of reasons, and they get what they need out of this community through The Cove live calls and interactions with their Cove Leader.  It's not about needing to do every component - it's about finding your SPARK each week inside The Cove, and activating that.

When you look at the investment in The Cove you may be wondering if it’s worth it. Of course you want to spend your money wisely. Here’s the thing:

5 sessions of therapy, which is 5 weeks of support, would cost more than a year in The Cove.
